Level 6:

Objective: Memorize assigned surahs, read them correctly, recognize the alphabet and vowels, understand the concepts and meanings, learn the stories and lessons from the surahs, key vocabulary words, and review surahs learned from the previous year.

Surahs: Al-Ghashiya, Al-A’laa, At-Tariq, Al-Buruj

• Week 1: Introduction and Overview
• Week 2-6: Surah Al-Ghashiya (26 ayaat, 5 sessions)
• Week 7-11: Surah Al-A’laa (19 ayaat, 5 sessions)
• Week 12-14: Surah At-Tariq (17 ayaat, 4 sessions)
• Week 15: Midterm Exam
• Week 16-18: Surah Al-Buruj (22 ayaat, 4 sessions)
• Week 19-22: Review previous year’s surahs (Level 5 surahs) (3 sessions)
• Week 23: Quran Competition
• Week 24-30: Continue with memorization and practice of all surahs in rotational sessions
• Week 31: Final Review
• Week 32: Exam

Classroom Breakdown:

1. 10 minutes: Listening to Quran
   • Use devices and the projector to play recitations by Qari Al-Afasi. Ensure high-quality tajweed and accurate pronunciation.
2. 10 minutes: Review and Quiz
   • Use devices and the projector to review and quiz on previous ayat and surahs. Engage students with interactive review sessions.
3. 5 minutes: Discussion
   • Discuss the meaning and concepts of the new ayah(s). Include key vocabulary, surah overview, and surah poem.
4. 10 minutes: Memorization
   • Use devices and the projector for memorization practice. Students listen and repeat the ayah(s) with Qari Al-Afasi’s recitation.
5. 5 minutes: Check Understanding
   • Test students’ reading and understanding of the new ayah(s). Assess their recitation and comprehension.
6. 10 minutes: Activities: Engage students in activities, coloring, and games related to the surah.
